Itinerary

On your arrival:
Fly to Sydney. Catch your connecting flight to Tamworth. Rest easy and sleep off that jet lag in your hotel.

Day 1
A leisurely start. Have your check flight at Tamworth airfield and meet your chief pilot and guide for a briefing on the safety and plan for the trip. A group lunch so that everyone can get to know each other and then the rest of the day off to make sure we are all fresh and ready to start flying the next day.

Day 2
And so the flying begins! A briefing from the Chief Pilot and then it’s chocks away. First stop Mudgee. There is plenty to do in Mudgee, with its great restaurants, wine bars and of course cellar doors to sample at.

Day 3
Fly off to Temora for a visit to the fine air museum to see the static displays as well as war bird aerial display over the airfield. A relaxing evening in the wonderful Bowling Green restaurant.

Day 4
Another beautiful flight down to Milawa where we will fly into the Brown Brothers vineyard airfield for a wine tasting lunch. Also a visit to historic town of Beechworth, famous for the notorious Ned Kelly is an option. Dining at the fine restaurant at our hotel that evening or a wonderful Italian option down the road.

Day 5
Onwards to Victoria’s pretty spa region of Daylesford and a day or two to enjoy the natural springs, the wonderful restaurants and plenty of vineyards to visit depending on your preference. (Flying into Ballarat).

Days 6 & 7
2 days in the lovely town of Mildura nestled next to the mighty Murray River. Plenty of restaurants and wine tastings available, and a flying trip out to the ancient and dramatic aboriginal site at Lake Mungo is also an option. Plenty of time for additional flying over the desert for a true outback aerial experience if you are craving even more adventure.

Day 8
On to Griffith, a thriving New Town with some very good restaurants and plenty of cellar doors from the great sweeping commercial vineyards to the smaller boutique wineries.

Day 9
A day in Canowindra having further soared over the sheer beauty of the NSW landscape. We will be staying in one of the most authentic old streets in Australia at the beautiful Melrose Guest House. A visit to organic wine maker Sam at Rosnays Cellar door and then a BBQ and cocktails in the beautiful gardens of our guest house hosted by the owner and local character Tommy Jeffs.

Day 10
A short hop to Broke, over the spectacular Blue Mountains into one of Australia’s most renowned wine regions, the Hunter Valley, and a tour of one of the best wineries in the area. We stay at a beautiful country lodge a short walk from the fantastic local restaurant.

Day 11
Time for some coastal flying, and our last night at Port Macquarie. Local seafood and wines to be sampled and choose from sea front fine dining or keep it simple with a myriad of great local restaurants.

Day 12
A leisurely start and then our flight back to Tamworth where we conclude our amazing adventures together and you take your connecting flights back to your outbound airport!
